The Unit is headed by the Director General of the Hospital who is in charge of coordinating all the activities within the hospital, lead the management committee and represent the hospital.

Since April 2023, Dr. Placide NSHIZIRUNGU has served as the Director General of Rwamagana Level II Teaching Hospital, leading the institution in its efforts to provide quality healthcare and strengthen health service delivery.
